i am open to suggestions for renaming the aforementioned 'cheesy blob type thingies'
a slight variation on the 1min choc sponge, when i was a kid my mum used to make cheese scones, i loved em so decided to have a dabble. not exactly scone size but do  make a nice cheesy snack.

4 heaped tbsp of ground almonds.
2 tbsp of melted butter.
1 tbsp water.
salt and pepper (according to taste).
big handful of mature grated cheese.
grated parmesan (or shavings)

warm yer grill up now .

mix it all in a bowl cept the parmesan. measure out dollops of the mix on to a microwaveable plate. i found a tablespoon made reasonable size thingies. flatten the dollops slightly and microwave for a minute.

peel the thingies off the plate carefully and place on a suitable flat tray to go under the grill. grill them until starting to brown round the edges, flip em over and place parmesan on the top and whack back under the grill. cook until browning again.

allow to cool slightly before eating, (has a similar effect to napalm on the roof of yer mouth if you dont!)

i like em, OH likes em (bonus! or is it?  )

the 'proper' chefs may have other ideas or summat similar they have tried. dont be shy get em on here! i did toy with the idea of adding chopped onion for a real taste combo. but will wait till next time.

see ya! please let me know if you try them.

Firstly, by doubling the ingredients LOL

Secondly I'd do a slice about an inch from the end of me pack of Lurpak, and try it with 3 oz gr almonds, if to osoggy add the other oz, if too stiff, melt another slice of beurre and try and remember for next time!!!?

Or maybe, if your butter is at room temp anyway, melt 2 tabs butter????

sort of. I do 99% of the cooking for myself, my OH, and my grown up daughter whom I can't persuade to leave home (sigh), but I (being a vegetarian) who does cook meat for meat-eaters - have often found myself making individual meals for 3 people (Grrrrrrrrrr) - spent 2 to 3 hours over a hot stove/oven or longer - only to find the meal takes 5.5 minutes to eat. Christmas (stuck in the kitchen all day and prepping the day before) does my head in totally.

So Moby - a cheesey thin (Lib did mention these in a previous recipe) but a lot of work for a very eatable snack - gone in 15 seconds I bet!!!

Again the ground almonds come to the rescue

I just do the basic recipe that Wendy put on t'forum and sometimes add pecorino cheese, or very strong cheddar into it.
I tend to bake them rather than grill them (and of course salt rather than splenda). You can make them quite big, likes smaller scones though of course need more almonds.

I think we should name them Moby's Mature Cheddar Melts

(or given Ive run out of Omeprazole, heartburn on a plate!)
